Artist: Roy Strassberg

Stoneware clay as well as porcelain pots in this category are here because of size and everyday functionality.  Some have extensive drawing as in the larger forms of Roy Strassberg, and others are simply glazed with stoneware matt glazes some of which are recipes from Alfred University from the 1960s, and are still beautiful today.  Roy’s  refers to his series of simple pottery forms as “quiet pots”. They are single glazed bottles, vases, bowls, cups or mugs.
